Senior Friends of Newnan presents various events, activities, and trips for its members throughout the year.

PICNICS

Senior Friends holds a Spring and Fall picnic at the Carl Miller Park in Newnan.

Rain or shine we'll be fine!!

We normally use the covered Pavilion 1 at the Carl Miller Park in Newnan.

We ask attendees to please bring a side dish or dessert.​

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY

Beginning in 2023 Senior Friends began holding an annual Christmas party

in a nice clubhouse located near Peachtree City.

It's become a popular event including games, door prizes, and bingo!

FIELD TRIPS

Senior Friends schedules special events and get-togethers for members in the Atlanta Metro area.

In the past, members have toured the Atlanta History Center followed by lunch at the Swan Coach Restaurant.

We've also toured the National Weather Station in Peachtree City and also the 911 Emergency Center in Newnan.

A popular favorite event with our members is having lunch and then a tour of the Coweta County Prison which we've done several times.

DAY TRIPS

Currently we are in the initial stages of planning some day trips.

Members are asked to please send ideas and suggestions to any Board officer

OVERNIGHT BUS TRIPS

Our organization also offers overnight bus trips to members, their families, and friends. Come one, come all!!

Most of the bus trips are offered via Diamond Tours which caters to a senior clientele.

These trips are open to anyone who would like to join us.

You do not need to be a member of Senior Friends to participate on the bus trips.

CRUISES

As of 2024, Senior Friends starting offering cruises to members, family, and friends.

We had 20 folks cruising together in 2024.

In February, there are 18 of us cruising through the Panama Canal.
